George L. “Bill” Corley, 91 passed away Monday, January 2nd 2023 at the Hospice House of Laurens.
He was born in Joanna on August 1, 1931 and was a son of the late Joseph Nathaniel Corley and Bessie Pearl Hallman.
Mr. Corley was a retired employee of E. L. Mansure, a US Army Veteran and a member of Lydia Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Christine Morgan Corley, his daughter, Donna Corley Wicker; three grandchildren, Mikailla Corley, Katie Wicker, Matthew Wicker; a step-grandchild, Daryl Miller and one great grandchild, Phoebe Elese Wicker.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Elese “Peggy” Corley, a son, Michael Edward Corley; three brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 5th at 2:00 P.M. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Heaton. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
