Pastor Joe Kenneth Coker, age 65, of 14 Copeland St., passed away Thursday June 13, 2013 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Greenville, SC the son of the late James E. Coker and Alma Lee Norris Coker.
Pastor Coker was the minister of the Glory Bound Ministries and had ministered in several locations including, Clinton, Belton, Loris, Leo, and Saluda.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann Coker; two sons, Jeremy Taylor, Ralph Taylor; six daughters, Lisa Ann Coker, Tabatha Coker, Barbara Ana Taylor, Tonya Michelle Taylor, Theresa Culbertson; a brother, Jamie Coker; a sister, Loretta Bailey, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Tracy Gore, two brothers, Richard Coker, Buck Coker, and five sisters Juanita Hawkins, Rose Lee Jones, Wilma Coleman, Lilla Gordon, and Marie Coker.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 15th at 3 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Laurens.
The family will be at the home of his dsughter, Theresa Culbertson, 610 N. Main Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
