Aaron Worthy

Aaron Worthy age 80, of 22097 SC Hwy 121 passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
He was born in Newberry County and was a son of the late William E. and Ruth McCullough Worthy.
Mr. Worthy retired from the Laurens County Regional Housing Authority, a retired veteran of the SC National Guard. He was a member of the Newberry Moose Lodge #2211, a lifelong Presbyterian and former elder. He was avid Nascar enthusiast, especially a David Pearson fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Blumish and husband, Kris of Indian Trail NC, a sister, Pat Fulmer of Whitmire and a step daughter, Sherry Burbage and her sons Jessie and Colt of Whitmire.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his two wives, Francine McMurtary Worthy and Judy R. Worthy.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire, burial in Whitmire Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
