Adgar R. Mcalister

Adgar R. McAlister, age 92, of Laurens, SC, widower of Frances B. McAlister passed away, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.
He was born February 21, 1931 in Greenville, SC, and was a son of the late Samuel Randolph and Willie Mae Smith McAlister. In his later years, Adgar enjoyed spending time traveling with his family.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Smith; his daughters, Diane Knight and Susie Davis; along with an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was the last surviving of his siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with Mr. Dale Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
