Albert Mars Sr.

Albert Mars, Sr. age 70 passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Clinton, SC and was a son of the late Allen and Sara Elizabeth Lanier Mars.
Albert was retired from Torrington Bearing Company, was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Red Devil Fan and worked on the chain crew for the football games for 29 years.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Karen Meadors Mars of the home, Albert Mars, Jr. of Joanna; Melissa Ann Crain and husband, Allen of Gray Court; one grandchild, Drew Crain; a brother, James Allen Mars of Mountville; a brother-in-law, Merle Tumblin of Hickory Tavern, special friends, Mark King and Gary Alexander.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Lana Terry Tumblin.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 31st at 3.:00 pm in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel by Rev. Jerry Pickens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springdale United Methodist Church, 851 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325.
