Rev. Alfred Mersman, age 90, of White Oak Estates, 400 Webber Rd., Spartanburg, SC died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Spartanburg Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, and was the son of the late Henry and Eva Mersman.
Rev. Mersman was the former minister of Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son, Tim Mersman of Laurens; his daughters, Linda Felton of Melbourne, FL, Nancy Cohen of Spartanburg, and Mary Hewett of Bascom, FL; his brothers, Harold Mersman of Crossville, TN and Paul Mersman of Bella Vista, AR; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Sparrow Mersman and a daughter, Ann Wright.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 21st at 3:30 PM at Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church, the family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM before the service at the church.
