Alice Vinson Cheatham Stanley

Alice Vinson Cheatham Stanley, age 87, formerly of Clinton and Whitmire died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the Woodruff Manor.
She was born on August 30, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Daniel Clarence and Emma Price Vinson. She was first married to the late William Davis Cheatham and second to the late Lewis Howard Stanley.
Mrs. Stanley was retired from Whitten Center and was a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Alice Arrowood of Whitmire; two sons, William C. (Loretta) Cheatham of Pauline and Michael D. (Sherry) Cheatham of Whitmire; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Cheatham of Moncks Corner; three sisters, Betty V. Stokes of Union, Dora V. Lane of Marion, SC and Nellie V. Thompson of Greenville, Mass.; also 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great- great granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert C. Cheatham of Moncks Corner; a sister, Louise V. Moss and three brothers, Donald Vinson, Clifford Vinson and Carl Vinson.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, Oct. 21st at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Mary Alice Arrowood, 1822 Hwy 66, Whitmire, SC.
