Alma Whisonant Lawson
Alma Whisonant Lawson, age 104, formerly of Hopewell Church Road, and widow of Ryan Lawson, died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Whisonant. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Joanna First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Janet Lawson of Clinton. She was predeceased by a brother, Clyde Whisonant and a sister, Mrs. Leroy (Margaret) Love.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Gray Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Home, 801 Musgrove St., Clinton, SC 29325; Bush River Baptist Church, 8936 Bush River Rd., Newberry, SC 29108; or a charity of one’s choice.
