Alvin B. Evans, age 74 of 611 Milton Rd. died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Joanna and was a son of the late James Edward and Leona Freeman Evans.
He was retired from Greenwood Mills; was a member of Joanna First Baptist Church and was a Mason and Shriner.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Merchant Evans of the home, two sons, Donnie Evans and Clevie Evans both of Joanna; two brothers, Freeman Evans and Issac Evans both of Joanna, one sister, Desiree Morris of Prosperity, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three sons, Ronnie Evans, Ricky Evans and Kenneth Evans.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Joanna with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home of Donnie Evans, 103 James Rd., Joanna, SC
