Alwayne Scarbrough Culverson, age 83, of 306 North Adair Street, died Thursday, October 26th at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.
She was born in Mitchell County, GA and was a daughter of the late Will and Susie Scarbrough.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Emery of Clinton, Sandra Lindsay of Locust Grove, GA; three grandchildren, David Mathis of Pelzer, Michelle Lightner of Locust Grove, GA and Deborah Hemeon of Methuen, Mass.; three great-grandchildren, Mike Mathis of Clinton, Maya “Ladybug” and Sean Michael “Sweetpea” Lightner of Locust Grove, GA.
She was predeceased by a son, a former resident of Clinton, Mike Baggett of Whigham, GA; five brothers; four sisters; and a nephew.
