Anita Rice Hill

Anita Rice Hill, age 77, of 101 Blalock Street, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and was a daughter of the late Fred James Rice and Girtha Patterson Rice Marshall.
Mrs. Hill was a retired RN, serving most of her 35 year career with Home Care Services and Hospice Care Organizations. She attended the Assembly of God Church of Clinton and used her career as a nurse as a witness to salvation. She loved working in her garden and also loved nursing and caring for others.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Hill of the home; her son, Mike Whitmire (Annette) of Clinton; her daughter, Sonya Tschappat (Jim) of Laurens; her sisters, Lola Lowe of Prosperity and Lou Merrill of Clinton; and her grandchildren, Justin Whitmire and Austin Brewington.
She was predeceased by her sister, Patsy Ellis, her nephew, Brian Merrill and her brother-in-law’s, John Wesley Cockrell, Jonathan Lowe and Pete Merrill.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, January 29th at 3 PM in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Padgett.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2 to 3 PM at the funeral home.
