Ann King, age 85, the widow George Nelson King, Jr., passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in McCormick, SC and was the daughter of the late Lionel Leo Hornsby and Thelma Stone Hornsby. Mrs. King was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.
She is survived by her son, George Nelson King III of Columbia; her daughters, Gloria Jean King and Martha Ann King McCormick both of Clinton; her brothers, Wayne Hornsby and James Hornsby; her sister, Judy Mims; her three grandchildren, Jon Michael Sineath of Maryland, John Austin McCormick of Clinton, Melissa Ann Thomson of Trinity, NC; her great-granddaughter, Makenzi Elizabeth Jordan.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Philips Lutheran Church in Newberry, SC at 11:00 AM by Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell.
