Annie Mae Dean Smith

Annie Mae Dean Smith, age 63 formerly of 1208 N. Sloan St. and widow of Joseph Oliver Smith died Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Leroy Dean and Geneva Leopard Dean Covan.
Mrs. Smith was a former employee of Clinton Mills and member of the Lydia Church of God.
Surviving are five step sons, Joseph Smith, Jr., Ronnie Smith, Michael Smith, Wayne Smith and Richard Smith all of Greenwood, a step daughter, Elaine Smith of Greenwood; two brothers, Eugene Dean of Newberry and Edgar Dean of Clinton.
She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Reeder Davenport.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her niece, Tammy Lominack, 12193 SC Hwy 34, Newberry, SC 29108.
