Annie Merle Webb Smith

Annie Merle Webb Smith, age 84, a resident of National Healthcare of Clinton and widow of Luke Smith, Sr., went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 7, 2012.
She was born in Wheeler, GA and was a daughter of the late Dessie Webb, Sr. and the late Evelyn McLendon Webb.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was active in all aspects of the church until she became too ill to attend.
Surviving are two sons, Harold Smith and wife, Lillie of West Union, Luke William Smith, Jr. and wife, Joy of Clinton; one daughter, Brenda Smith Stephens and husband, Hobart of Greenville; two brothers, Dessie Webb and Bobby Webb of Clinton; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Comer Webb and a sister, Pearl McWatters.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 9th at 2:00 p.m. in the Davidson St. Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Moore, Rev. Larry Easler and grandsons, Rev. Jason Stephens and Rev. Jonathan Stephens with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
The family will be at the home of her son, William Smith, Jr., 600 N. Adair St., Clinton, SC 29325.
