Archie Mitchell Summer

Archie M. Summer, age 75 of 33805 Hwy. 76 E and widower of Dora Turner Summer, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Joanna and was a son of the late Bennie David and Annie Morgan Summer.
He was self employed; was a Korean War U. S. Army Veteran and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, David Summer and wife, Donna and Mark Summer; daughter, Elaine Ray and husband, Alvin; grandchildren, Dillon, Crystal, Jason and Ashley and great grandchild, Dakota; three sisters, Ira Young, Florrie Wells and Alice Ginn. He is also survived by his loyal companion, his dog, Rudolph.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Dewey Summer and a sister, Iris Barnes.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, June 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
The family will be at the home of Alvin and Elaine Ray, 447 Sunset Blvd., Clinton, SC.
