Arlie (Ken) Merideth

Arlie K. (Ken) Merideth, age 81, of 233 Lail Street, Waterloo, SC, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in the Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.
He was born in Dawson Springs, KY and was a son of the late Ralph and Leona Griffin Merideth.
Mr. Merideth was a retired US Army Veteran with the 82nd Air Born and served two terms in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and was a race car driver.
He is survived by his wife Roberta McGinnis Merideth of the home; his sons Kenneth Merideth (Katie) and Kent Merideth, both of Clinton; two daughters Susan Smith (Fred) of Clinton and Carol McDuffie of Laurnburg, NC; his brothers Gerald Merideth of Madisonville, KY, Earl Merideth of Waterloo, SC and Robert Merideth of Huntsville, AL; his sisters Irene Woods of Phoenix, AZ and Karen Gates of Dawson Springs, KY; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister Elaine, a son Arlie, Jr, a brother Raymond and a great-granddaughter Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Leesville Southern Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church.
