Arthur “Paul” Owens, Jr., age 72, of 116 Wright Street, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Laurens and was the son of the late Arthur Paul Owens Sr. and Jessie Durham Owens.
Mr. Owens was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church, owner of Paul's Upholstery, a Mason of Rossie Walker Masonic Lodge 354, and a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Linda Ouzts Owens of the home; daughters, Kathryn Rowland of Lexington and Lynn Greenway of Whitmire; a son, Christopher Owens of Waterloo; step-children Terri Coates of Waterloo, Sherri Stuckey of Skitook, OK, and Jody Johnson of Tulsa, OK; brothers, James Owens and Billy Owens of Laurens; sister, Sherry Summers of Laurens; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Arthur Paul (Buddy) Owens, III and his granddaughter, Allyson Greenway.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
The family will be at the home of Kathryn Rowland, 15 Gallon Street, Laurens, SC 29360.
