Audrey Green-Johnson

Audrey Green-Johnson, 96, of Newberry, SC, passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at White Oak Manor.
Born July 31, 1927 in Pelham, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Mahoney and Bertha Price Lambert. Audrey, who was a registered nurse, later retired from the Pentagon where she worked as a photographer. She was a talented musician, skilled in playing the organ, piano, and several other instruments. Audrey was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice Wicker; five stepchildren; her sister, Ruth Skinner Poole; her grandchildren, Dawn Metts, Missy Gale, Becca Obal, Dusty Madden, and Jamie Bostic; and a great-grandson, Henry Jacob Green.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Jacob Astor Green, and William Russell Johnson; and daughters, Donna Carter and Susan Patrice Green.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire with Rev. Shannon Long officiating. Burial will follow at the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitmire First Baptist Church, 173 Glenn Street, Whitmire, SC 29178.
