Barbara Willingham Prater

Barbara Willingham Prater age 87, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
She was born in Goldville, SC and was a daughter of the late Elzie John and Lossie Mae Tew Willingham.
She was married to Guy L. Prater for 59 years before his passing on June 30, 2006. Together they made their home in Joanna and had four children.
Mrs. Prater was a cosmetologist in Joanna for 33 years and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna and the Women 1 Sunday School Class, where she served as Class Treasurer for many years.
Surviving are her children, Cynthia P. Wright (Kenneth) of Blowing Rock, NC, Timothy G. Prater (Dell) of Pacolet, SC, Melanie P. Young (Calvin) of Clinton, SC and Kevin C. Prater (Andrea) of Ninety Six, SC; nine grandchildren, Michael C. Young (Marji), Allyson Y. Sherer (Daniel), Lanny Wilson (Jaime), Lauren W. Greene (Sid), Tori Wright, Benjamin G. Prater, Rachel P. McRoberts, Nathan Prater (Christina) and Christopher Prater; and nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Willingham (Barbara) of Joanna; her sister-in-law, Kathy Willingham Brooks; nine nieces and eight nephews.
She was predeceased her brother, Harold Willingham; her sister, Gladys W. Nabors; her sisters-in-law, Marie P. Roebuck, Betty P. Nabors and Catherine F. Prater; her brothers-in-law, Louie Nabors, Carson Nabors, Rudy, Snow and Hack Prater.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2pm at the First Baptist Church of Joanna with burial in the Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
The family will be at the residence, 205 Laurens St., Joanna, SC.
