Barbara Williams Tedards, age 92, widow of Ralph N. "Buzz" Tedards, Sr. passed away peacefully Saturday, December 24, 2022, at the Presbyterian Community of Clinton.
She was born December 20, 1930 in Gastonia, NC and raised in Gaffney, SC, the daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt Williams and the late Winnie Millie Parris Williams.
Mrs. Tedards was an active and devout member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton, SC, who loved her Sunday school class and serving on numerous committees. In her younger years, she enjoyed exercising at the YMCA, taking long walks at Presbyterian College, decorating, and hosting various events. Her most loved hobbies continued to be shopping, perusing style and decorating magazines, and keeping up with the latest fashion trends. Mrs. Tedards took great pride in creating a warm, inviting and loving home, a home she shared with her late husband and family until 2014. She then resided at the Presbyterian Community of Clinton, where she established lifelong memories, bringing love and joy to many.
Mrs. Tedards cherished every minute she spent with her husband Buzz, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family brought her the most joy and was the center of her heart and life.
She is survived by her children, Ralph N. “Buzz” Tedards, Jr. (Sheree) of Greensboro, SC, and Beverly Cannarella of Hartsville, SC; her brother, Roger Williams; and her sisters, Vicki Williams Duncan, and Marilyn Williams Martin; grandchildren, Ann Stanton Gore (Bennett), Norman Mayfield (Corey), Joseph Cannarella (Casi), and Lucia Cannarella; and her great-grandchildren, Beverly Julia and Bennett Gore, and Mattison and Flynn Mayfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband, and siblings, Mrs. Tedards was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Williams; her two sisters, Jackie Ellis and Delores Mathis; and her son-in-law, Matt Cannarella.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Clinton with Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell officiating. Burial services will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church sanctuary.
The family would like to give special thanks to her loving caregivers Sharlene Hall and Gwendolyn Stone, nurse Lee Ann Campbell, and all the caring nurses and staff of the Presbyterian Communities of Clinton.
