Benett Jayden Dalton, age 9, of 96 O’Dell Street passed away Monday, September 23rd, 2013. He was born in Newberry, SC and was the son of Scott Dalton and Brandi Cooper Dalton. Benett was in the 3rd grade at Whitmire Elementary School. He always enjoyed being outdoors and playing all types of sports.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Maddox Dalton, of the home, two half-brothers, M.J. and Javey May of Clinton; grandparents Evie Knight of Whitmire and Ray William and Peggy Dalton of Clinton; great-grandmother Trudi Cooper of Whitmire; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27th at 5:00 PM at Whitmire First Baptist Church with burial in Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home in Whitmire.
Memorials may be made to the fund at First Citizens Bank, 200 Main St., Whitmire, SC 29718 c/o Michael Thomas for Benett Dalton.
