Beth Jeffcoat Copeland, a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, gran, and friend passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at home. Born on December 11 in Orangeburg, SC, Beth was the daughter of Carolyn Jeffcoat and the late Gerald Jeffcoat Sr.
Beth was raised in Greenwood, SC and graduated Greenwood High School in 1984. She leaves behind many lifelong friends who love and cherish her. She attended Presbyterian College and met the love of her life her freshman year of college. She and Tim married in December of 1987 and Clinton became her new home.
Beth and Tim joined Broad Street United Methodist Church shortly after marriage and she has been a devoted member ever since. She served in various leadership roles throughout her time at BSUMC and always went above and beyond what was asked of her. She leaves behind the most loving and loyal church family members.
Beth’s legacy will be carried on by her loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Tim Copeland, sons Haden (Jordan) of Clinton and Harrison of Griffin, GA, and daughter Sara Beth of Laurens, her mother Carolyn Jeffcoat, sister Lynn Jeffcoat, and brother Ed Jeffcoat. Her memory will live on in her granddaughters Gemma and Hallie Copeland. She was loved so much by her brothers and sisters-in-law Wayne and Becky Copeland, Jean and James Copeland, and the late Terry and Libby Copeland. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Beth’s life was a beacon of kindness, love, and dedication to the ones she loved the most. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of service, love, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family is so thankful for the countless doctors and nurses at St. Francis Bon Secours and the loving care that was provided by Hospice of Laurens County.
