Betty Hooper Creswell, age 81, of 210 Lakewood Dr. and widow of Melvin “Bubba” Creswell passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11th at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Clinton, S.C. the daughter of the late T. L. and Lizzie Lee Fuller Hooper.
Mrs. Creswell was retired from Whitten Center and a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Creswell is survived by her two sons, James T. Creswell (Judy) of Laurens, Melvin K. Creswell (Angela) of Clinton, her sister, Linda Tharp (Austin) of Myrtle Beach and a special daughter-in-law, Cathy Creswell of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Todd Creswell, Shannon Creswell, Lee Creswell, Billy Creswell (Deborah), Brian Creswell, Matt Pennington and Sherri Trotter; two step-grandchildren, Michael Wells and Wesley Wells; four great-grandchildren, Thomas “T.E.” Tinsley, Sean Creswell, Taylor Creswell and Connor Creswell and one great-great grandchild, Aiden Creswell.
She is predeceased by a sister Cleo Evans, and a brother Melvin Hooper.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 14th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
