Betty Willis Satterfield

Betty Willis Satterfield, age 89, of 401 Forest Dr., and widow of R. B. Satterfield, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Fountain Inn and was a daughter of the late Claude and Cora Nell Curry Willis.
Mrs. Satterfield retired as Chief Magistrate of Laurens County in 1993 with sixteen years of service. She was a member of the Green Pond United Methodist Church, the Ridgeway Satterfield Sunday School Class, the Frankie Balcombe Circle, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Jeff Satterfield (Pam); a daughter, Patty Goode (Johnny) both of Laurens; two brothers, Don Willis and Max Willis (Phyllis), both of Fountain Inn; four grandchildren, Will Satterfield, Jennifer Satterfield, Ridge Howell (Tesla) and Bailey Goode; and one great granddaughter, Aubree Satterfield.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Satterfield was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 1st, at 3 P.M., at the Green Pond United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Green Pond United Methodist Church, 168 Stoddard Mill Rd., Gray Court, SC 29645, or to Hospice of Laurens County, 1304 Springdale Dr., Clinton, SC 29325.
The family will be at the residence located at 401 Forest Dr., Laurens, SC 29360.
