Betty Ann Shaver

Betty Ann Shaver, age 81, widow of Glenn E. Shaver, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on July 18, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Issac and Gerdine Hill Moss. Betty retired from Laurens District 56 High School as a Library Aid. She served as a substitute teacher and was a faithful member of the Joanna Church of God.

Betty is survived by her son, Bryan K. Shaver (Wendy) of Union; her daughter, Tammy Strickland (Stacey) of Jonesville; her grandchildren who knew her as “Betty Boop”, Christopher Lane Shaver, Daniela Robbins (Travis), Dylan Wade Strickland, Haley Lynn Strickland; her great-granddaughter, Brinley Faith Robbins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Coley and Agnes Dudley.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Joanna Church of God with Pastor Stacey Strickland and Pastor Gene Wooten officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. 

The family will be at her home for any visitors that would like to come by.
