Betty Jean Summler age 78 of 11424 Hwy 56 North and the widow of Jimmy Summler passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Walhalla, SC and was a daughter of the late John Ernest and Ida Magalene Orr Brown.
Mrs. Summler was retired from Piedmont Pad and attended Victory Worship Center. A favorite quote of hers was “It doesn’t matter what type of house you lived in or what was in your bank account, it’s the difference you made in a life of a child.” We will miss your unconditional love.
Surviving are three sons, Ronnie Darrell Pace and wife, Helen, Barry Pace and Gerry Pace; three daughters, Michelle Lawhon and husband, John, Kathy Tate and husband, Bob and Tammy Summler; two brothers, Arnold James Brown and Charles (Duck) Brown; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 11th at 1:00 p.m. in the Victory Worship Center by Rev. Bob Tate with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday before the service from 12 to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
