Betty H. Bass

Betty H. Bass, age 72, of 417 Robin Lane died Sunday, October 16th at her home.
She was born in Newberry and was the daughter of Mattie Lee Robinson Hilley of Greenville and the late James Luther Hilley.
Mrs. Bass was a homemaker and a member of the Lydia Mill Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Durant Bass of the home; two sons, James Durant Bass of Waterloo and Joey Lee Bass of Joanna; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Diane and Jerry lee Roberts of Waterloo and Melia Marlene and Bryon Jeffrey Newton of Gray Court; a sister, Frances Ouzts of Greenville; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Lydia Mill Church of God with interment in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
