Betty Sims Bragg

Betty Sims Bragg, age 77, of 10 Union St. Ext. and widow of Lawrence William “Bill” Bragg, Jr. died Saturday, October 25th at her home.
She was born in Whitmire, SC and was a daughter of the late Lee Blackburn Sims and Lougenia Martin Sims McCarley.
Mrs. Bragg was retired from food service at Whitmire High School and Whitmire Community School. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Whitmire.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kathy Fricks of Toccoa, GA, Susan Raines of Evans, GA and April Sharpe of Cayce; two sisters, Joyce Hunnicutt of Whitmire and Linda Hurt of W.Columbia; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Will Grant, Heather Moore, Cameron and Zachary Raines, Stuart and Alexander Sharpe.
She is predeceased by a son, Lawrence William “Larry” Bragg, III and a daughter, Rhonda Bragg.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 27th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Whitmire with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
