Beulah "Bea" G. Roberts, age 92, of 311 Leonard Road, widow of Clarence "Mr. C.A." A. Roberts, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her home.
Bea was born April 7, 1933, in Chappells, SC, and was the daughter of the late Roy and Annie Inez Harris Gilbert. Bea's life's work was as a bank teller in Guantanamo, Cuba and Alameda, California, later retiring as a special needs assistant at Whitten Center in 1996. After retirement, she devoted her full love and care to her family. Bea traveled for 30 years worldwide with her beloved Navy husband. She was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church for 40 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher and VBS teacher. She was a beacon of Christ for her Church family and was loved by all who knew her. Mrs. Bea lived in Clinton for over 40 years, she was a Pearlie Girlie and a member of the Red Hat Society.
Bea is survived by her son, Roy A. Roberts; her daughters, Vickie Adair (Danny) of Hickory Tavern, and Terry Carroll of Clinton; her sister, Betty Bishop; her brother, JT Gilbert; her sister-in-laws, Deborah Barnes and Jan Roberts; her seven grandchildren, Jason Adair, Amanda Lyttle (Stephen), Daniel Adair (Emily), Ronnie Roberts, Shannen Wirgau, Andrew Carroll (Maddie), and Ryan Carroll; her great-grandchildren, Katie, Adeline, Bella, and Hailey of Tennessee; Stephen, Alizabeth, Virginia Anne, Brendan, William, and Lucy, all of Greenville; and James, Claire, Elliot, Emma, and Julian, all of Clinton; and her dear friend and sister in Christ, Mary Stroud.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 56 years, Bea was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna G. Marler and Frank Gilbert; her grandson, Robert M. Adair; and her son-in-law, Gary Carroll.
Bea was a devoted Mother, Nannie, Aunt, Sister, and friend, always greeting all with a smile and a hug. We will dearly miss our precious Mother and Matriarch.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Holly Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Hines, Pastor Richard Neely, and Pastor Randy Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Daniel Adair, Jason Adair, Andrew Carroll, Ryan Carroll, Ronnie Roberts, and Eddie Roberts.
