Bill Brotherton, 75 of 310 Davidson Street, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
He was born in Whitmire on Jan. 28, 1936 and was a son of the late James Sterling and Millie Mae Duncan Brotherton.
He retired from Whitten Center and was a former employee of H. D. Payne; a veteran of the SC National Guard; a member of Davidson Street Baptist Church and a former Deacon and Sunday School Teacher of Youth and Senior Adults.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Cox Brotherton of the home, two sons, Billy Brotherton, Jr. and Chris A. Brotherton both of Clinton, two brothers, James Brotherton of Moncks Corner and David Brotherton of Whitmire, one sister, Neil Ramage of North Augusta, two grandchildren, Billy Lingerfelt and Brandon Brotherton and one great-grandchild, Ciara Lingerfelt.
He was predeceased by a twin sister, Betty Cox, and a brother, Quillen Brotherton.
Funeral services will be held at Davidson Street Baptist Church, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
