Bill G. Jones

Bill G. Jones, age 81, of 204 S. Holland St. died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born in Wildwood, FL and was a son of the late Noah & Agnes Irene Sims Jones.
Mr. Jones received a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Florida. He worked with several special needs and disability departments in several states. Bill also enjoyed many years of theatrical activities as an actor or in production, he was honored with a “Best Actors” award for his betrayal of “Tevye” in “Fiddler on the Roof”. He was also a member of the Springdale United Methodist Church in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Weller Jones of the home, a son, Russell O. Jones of Claremont, FL; two daughters, Vivian E. Menoscal of NY and Lori N. Townsend of FL; five step-children, Kimberly L. Neal of Clinton, Thomas P. Iazzeto of Conover, NC, Larry L. Howard of Thomasville, NC, Kelly B. Howard of Huntington, IN and Marcia L. Yrineo of Southbend, IN and 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Springdale United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Feb. 16th at 4:00 p.m..
