Billy Ray Padgett

Billy Ray Padgett age 71 of 460 A.B. Jacks Road, died Wednesday, Aug. 6th in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Greenville, SC and was a son of Clyde Padgett of Clinton and the late Dorothy Louise Walker Padgett.
Mr. Padgett was retired from AT&T. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He attended Bellview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Pearson Padgett; a son, Jeffrey Norwood of Laurens; two daughters, Stephanie N. Donnan and Elise N. Childress, both of Laurens; two brothers, Bobby Padgett and wife Joyce, and Jerry Padgett and wife Okie, both of Clinton; two sisters, Joann Bagwell and husband David, and Evelyn Cox and husband Johnny, both of Laurens; a sister-in-law, Joann Padgett; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Padgett was predeceased by a brother, Norman Padgett.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 10th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
