Bobby Allen Avery, 66, of 20040 Hwy 72 N, Whitmire Hwy, Clinton, went to be with his Lord and Savior August 8, 2011 at Hospice House in Clinton. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Beulah Shockley Avery. He was a son of the late Ludie Frank Avery Sr. and Mary Lucille Metts Avery.
He is survived by his daughter of the home, Sally Mae Avery and a son of Joanna, Bobby Franklin (Buzz) Avery. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Candy Ginn, Erin Ginn, Bobby and Randy Avery of Clinton and Cheyenne Avery of Tennessee, and five great-grandchildren
He is also survived by sisters, Geraldine Morris of Newberry, Virginia (Curtis) Nelson of Clinton and Lynda (Larry) Penland of Laurens; five brothers, Frank (Polly) Avery of Joanna, Curtis Avery of Laurens, George, McArthur (Mac), and Jimmy (Virginia) Avery of Clinton. He was predeceased by one brother, Joe Avery of Greenwood.
The family is at 20040 Hwy 72 N, Whitmire Hwy., Clinton.
The family wishes to thank friends, family and especially the nurses, staff and chaplains of Hospice House in Clinton. The devotion and love for their patients and the families were a comfort to the family in every way.
A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the home.
