Boyd "Buddy" Harrison Wilkes

Boyd “Buddy” Harrison Wilkes, age 67, of 324 Charlotte’s Road, and husband of Judy Ann Wilkes, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016, at his home.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Boyd and Nellie Jackson Wilkes. His grandparents were Oscar and Wynnie Wilkes and Grover and Lillie Jackson.
Mr. Wilkes was a Vietnam War veteran and a welder, having a love of working on cars. He had a tremendous love for his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wilkes was survived by his sons, Joey Wilkes (Mandy Dunaway) of Clinton and Gregg Wilkes (Jennifer) of Clinton; his daughter, Julie Wilkes Crawford (Pete) of Clinton; his sisters, Ione Hendrix (Jerry) and Flo McLendon (James); his mother-in-law, Lucille Satterfield; his sister-in-law, Vicki Satterfield Tucker; his grandchildren, Christopher “Spot” Wilkes, Ridge Crawford, Chase Wilkes and Peyton Wilkes; and a special friend, Buddy Connor.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Wilkes and Clevis Wilkes; his sister, Patricia Ray; and a grandchild, Taylor Ann Crawford.
A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 28th, at 5:00 p.m., in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends Wednesday before the service from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The family will be at the home located at 324 Charlotte’s Road, Clinton, SC.
