Bruce “Wayne” Ballew, age 70, formerly of Clinton, SC, passed away June 8, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was born October 9, 1953 in Clinton, SC and was the son of the late Sarah Owens and Eugene Ballew. Wayne lived a very full life filled with fun, fishing, love, faith, and family. He taught many about kindness and thoughtfulness of others. His is a legacy of laughter and love. Many around the Mill Hill would call him Bimbo and eventually Bo but he left that name behind as he grew into a man called Daddy and Pappaw.
He is survived by his daughters: Wendy Fitzpatrick, Traci Shelley, Amber Shelley, Elizabeth Mack and son Jason Curtis English and son in law Kris Fitzpatrick. Grandchildren: Tara Scott, Arielle Smith-Ballew, Brielle and Killian Fitzpatrick, Tori English and great granddaughter Mia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Norma Jean Hembry, Sandra Yvonne James, Linda Gail Dilleshaw, Floyd Eugene Ballew and Paula Dian Little.
The family will be having a service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona followed by a celebration of life in SC upon his one-year anniversary.
