Capitola Parrish Johnson, age 94, the widow of J. Carl Johnson and formerly of Mauldin, SC passed away, Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Palmetto Health Richland.
She was born in Clinton and was a daughter of the late Claude O. and Eula Ellen Murphy Parrish.
Mrs. Johnson was retired from Union Carbide and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Mauldin since 1969, she will be remembered for her great love of gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Jim Johnson (Susan) of Florence; her daughters, Gail Muller of Irmo and Deborah Stives (Robert) of Moncks Corner; her brother, Jack Parrish of Aiken; her sister, Claudette Parrish of San Francisco, CA; her eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 12th at 3:00 PM in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
