He was born in Clinton and was the son of the late Carlton King, Sr. and Myrtle Nelson King.
He is survived by a sister, Dianne Hornsby of Laurens, two brothers, Michael King of Atlanta, GA and Richard King of Simpsonville; three uncles, Heyward King of Laurens, Larry King and Kenneth King both of Clinton; two aunts, Joanne Sanders and Sue May both of Clinton.
