Carolyn G. Smith, age 73, widow of James M. Smith, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, November 19, 2017.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA and was the daughter of the Hannah Harris of Downey, CA and the late Walter Studebaker.
Mrs. Smith worked for the textile industry for most of her life.
She is survived by her sons, John E. Lammers (Rose) of Salinas, CA, Timothy Smith of Honolulu, HI, Clancy Smith of Greenville, SC; her daughter Tiffany M. Swygert of Chapin, SC; her sister, Sharon Hoopes (Bill) of Palm Desert, CA; her grandchildren, Shane Earl, Hannah Smith, Jessica Bullock, Bresley Smith, Alysa Smith, Lolly Smith, Beau Smith; and her many great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to the Hospice Care of South Carolina, especially to Danette Chasteen for the loving care she provided their mother.
