Catherine Key Hanley age 92, widow of J.D. Hanley, died Thursday December 18, 2008 at the Laurens County Hospice House of Clinton.
She was born in Clayton, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Painter Key.
Mrs. Hanley was retired from Sunshine Cleaners as a seamstress and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jaylene Smith of Clinton; a sister, Josephine Baker of Greenville, two grandsons, Chad Smith and Jay Smith both of Clinton; a granddaughter, Amanda Smith Fusco of Spartanburg; five great grandchildren, Justin Smith, Savanna Fusco, Hunter Smith, T.J. Fusco, and Sara Smith; and a special niece, Darlene Houston of Greenville.
Mrs. Hanley was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Dec. 21st at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her daughter at 318 Davidson Street in Clinton.
