Cecil Scogin

Cecil Scogin age 89, of 38 Shady Grove Church Rd. passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Colbert, Georgia and was the son of the late William Tinsley and Ruby Herring Scogin.
Mr. Scogin was in home construction for many years and later retired from the CNNGA; he was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee and a US Navy Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Scogin, Jerry Scogin and David Scogin all of Clinton, two sisters, Jo Nell Moss of Whitmire and Evelyn Fennell of Greenwood, two grandchildren, Leigh Anne Waters of Saluda and Jonathan Scogin of Joanna.
Mr. Scogin was predeceased by his wife, Myrtis Barrett Scogin and brother, Arthur Scogin.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Pinelawn Memory Garden. The family will greet friends following the service.
