Cecil Eugene White

Cecil Eugene White of Columbus, NC passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Landrum, S.C.
Mr. White was born in Greenwood, S.C. and was the son of the late Clinton Eugene and Mary Ellen Grant White. He grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School where he was the class valedictorian. He later graduated Sunna Cum Laude from Presbyterian College and received his law degree from the University of South Carolina Law School, continued with advance studies at Columbia University in New York City.
Upon returning to Clinton he began his private law practice for over fifty years. During this time, he served as the City Attorney for the City of Clinton.
He is survived by three cousins, Racheal Sammons, Janice Lollis and William Thrasher, Jr.
A private burial was held in the Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton.
