Cecil Furman Milam
Cecil Furman Milam, 91 of Lisbon Road, Mountville, passed away August 18, 2011 at the Laurens County Hospice House in Clinton.
He was born in Mountville,SC and was the son of Charles and Mary Milam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Milam, his brothers, Henry Wade and Charles E. Milam, his sisters, Sybilla Milam Kay and Julia Milam Byers. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Milam served during WWII. He was a farmer, who loved the land and his home, where he lived for over 90 years. He was a faithful member of Lisbon Presbyterian Church his entire life.
Surviving are seven nieces and nephews: Charles R. (Diane) Milam, Sandra Kay-(Frank) McNair, Rowland (Kathy) Milam, Gayle Byers (Tony) Marler, Lloyd (Mary) Byers, Betty Young, and Mary Frances (Norman) McGlohon.
A private graveside service will be held at Lisbon Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00 a.m. The family will hold a memorial service for all of his friends, family and neighbors to celebrate his life on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
