Charles Willie “Billy” Black, Sr., age 87, widower of Vadis Black, passed away January 13, 2018, at Laurens Estates.
He was born in Joanna, SC, and was a son of the late Willie H. and Frances Catherine Long Black.
Mr. Black is survived by his son, Charles W. Black, Jr.; his brothers, James E. Black (Wilba) of Pelion, Donald R. Black of Springfield, and John T. Barden; his sisters, Patricia B. Shumpert of Pelion, Emily Marie Black Bussey of Hanahan, and Kathy Black Swan (Stuart) of Cary, NC; and two grandchildren, Amber and Michelle Black.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 15, 2018, at 2 PM, at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with burial at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
