Charles Murphy

Charles Murphy, age 101, of 407 Browning Ave. passed away Sunday, July 1st at the NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Union County a son of the late Toy Grier and Pearl Bobo Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was retired from the Joanna Mill, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna for 85 years.
Surviving are his brother, Louis Murphy and wife, Lib of Clinton; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Carolyn Holmes and Elizabeth and Addye Holland and Cookie Holland.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his wife, Olene Sharpe Murphy and three brothers, Otis Murphy, Millard Murphy, and Harold Murphy.
Funeral services will be conducted July 3rd at 2 p.m. by Rev. Alan Todd in the First Baptist Church of Joanna with entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Gradens.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Men’s Bible Class.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
