Charles "Chuck" Houston Emery
January 28, 1938 — April 11, 2009
Charles “Chuck” Houston Emery, Sr., age 71 died Saturday, April 11th at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Enoree, SC and was a son of the late Horace and Ethel Willard Emery.
Mr. Emery was a retired paint contractor with Campbell’s Painting and an U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by a son, Charles Houston Emery, Jr. of Greer; a daughter, Melissa Emery of Greenville; a step-son, David Mathis of Missouri, three sisters, Jackie Neal of Honea Path, Hazel Calvert and Carol Quinton, both of Inman; five grandchildren, Andrew Emery, Mark Emery, Lisa Emery, Shae Davis, and Savanah Moates; two great grandchildren, Bryson Emery and Jaden Emery; a step grandchild reared in the home, Mike Mathis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Helen Emery of Clinton.
Mr. Emery was predeceased by his former wife, Brenda Elaine Kelley.
