Charles Stuart Sanford

Charles S. Sanford, age 58 of 107 Young Dr. died Sunday, Jan. 21st at his home.
He was born in Torrington, CT and was a son of the late Stuart E. and Eileen Conran Sanford.
Mr. Sanford was a graduate of Clinton High School; attended Belmont Abbey College for two years; received a Bachelors degree in psychology from NC State and later worked as a counselor at the Vanderbilt Psychological Hospital. He ended his career at Whitten Center as one of the foremost experts in training and counseling blind mentally handicapped adults. He also was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his brother, Gordon S. Sanford of San Antonio, TX and his sister, Marcia Ann Hill of Laurens.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 24th at 4:30 p.m. in the Bethany Presbyterian Church.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Bethany Presbyterian Church Mission Fund, 106 Fawn Rd., Clinton, SC 29325.
