Charles Vincent "Frog" Owens

Charles Vincent “Frog” Owens, age 71 of 744 Curry Road died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Laurens, SC and was the son of the late Enice Owens and Sara Gibert Owens Robertson.
Mr. Owens was an avid dirt track racer, truck driver, and a pawn broker. He was of the Presbyterian faith, and a special husband and father.
Mr. Owens is survived by his wife, Louise Owens, of 49 years; one son, Wayne Owens of Laurens; two daughters, Connie Owens of Fountain Inn and Carolyn Owens of Laurens; one brother, Mike Prater of Irmo; many special nieces and nephews and lots of special friends.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 3:00p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will follow immediately after the service.
