Chrissy Elaine Lee

Chrissy Elaine Lee, age 46, peacefully went to be with Jesus on Saturday, May 25, 2024, surrounded by family and friends at Laurens County Hospice House. Chrissy was born April 25, 1978, in Spartanburg, SC, daughter of Ronnie and Linda Lee. She found a second home and family in August 1985, when she moved to join the Whitten Center community in Clinton, SC. She flourished at Whitten, making many friends and touching many hearts.
Chrissy is survived by her parents and her sister, Lori Beth (Bill) Wolfe. She is also survived by her “sister cousin”, Kimberly (Jason)DiCesare and her Meme, Norma Appleby. Chrissy is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special caregivers who love her very much. We can’t name you all, but you know you were loved by our precious girl. Her smile and her hug assured you of this.
Chrissy was predeceased by her Papa Malcolm Lee, Mama Jewel Lee Blakely, Grandfather Bobby Blakely, and Poppy Walter Appleby.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 P.M.
A private family burial will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and care team at Laurens Hospital ICU. You were all so special to our sweet Chrissy, and we so appreciate your care and kindness. Your love for our girl showed in your actions.
Also, a special thank you to the team at Laurens County Hospice House. Your comfort care was exceptional, and you made it bearable to let our sweet girl go be with Jesus.
We ask for Chrissy’s special Whitten Center family to sit together in a reserved area during the memorial service. You were such an important part of her life and ours.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitten Center Parents’ Club, c/o Jane Parris, 560 West Main Street, Laurens, SC 29360. The Parents’ Club will add items to enhance the sensory garden and even purchase more Christmas decorations. Chrissy loved the Christmas wonderland, and her mom has worked so hard to make the sensory garden a reality for all to enjoy.
