Christine R. "Christy" Huckabee

Christine R. “Christy” Thomason Huckabee, age 47, of Laurens, SC, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after many years of declining health and after suffering a heart attack one week earlier.
Christy was the daughter of Mary Crocker Crompton and the late Jack Thomason.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Christopher (Brieanna) Huckabee, Jessie Huckabee, and John Huckabee; four brothers, Richard (Lisa) Thomason, Jackie (Kelly) Thomason, Sam “Monk” (Melissa) Knight and Jake Leopard; a sister, Katie Knight; three granddaughters, Summer, Paige and Miranda Huckabee; God Daughter, Katelyn Tapio, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very special friend, Brandon Taylor.
Christy was predeceased in death by paternal grandparents, Willie R. and Marie W. Thomason; maternal grandparents, Roland Crocker and Mary Crocker Humphries; and grandson, Christopher Huckabee, Jr.
Christy was a member of Dials United Methodist Church where she attended as a child and teenager and was very active in all youth activities and in the youth and adult choir.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
