Clara Dennis Godfrey, age 86, of 107 Reeder St. died Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Newberry County and was the daughter of the late Frank Osborne and Hallman Bedenbaugh Dennis.
Mrs. Godfrey was predeceased by two husbands, Ervin Albert Stroud and William Drayton Godfrey.
She is survived by two daughters, Betti Stroud of Columbia and Andrea Grant and husband, George of Clinton; grandchildren, Ami Grant Vaughn and husband, Randy of Clinton and Mills Grant and wife, Heidi of Greenville; great grandchildren, Emily, Gram, and Julia Grant.
A memorial service will held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the St. John’s Lutheran Church with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Memorials may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1009 S. Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325 or to the Hospice House of Laurens County, P.O. Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325.
The family will be at the home, 107 Reeder, St., Joanna.
